I am Sore

Yesterday I tried my first Body Pump class. I LOVED it. I decided to take it easy and put very small weights on my barbell to make sure I do not pull any muscles. Through the whole class I can feel my muscles starting to hurt but I decided to push.

On one lift I actually felt my knees shaking and I was telling myself, oh wow I'm going to feel this in the morning.

When I woke up this morning I didn't feel to bad, but going through the day I can feel my muscles starting to get a bit tight and I started having a little bit of trouble going up an down the stairs.

I'm happy to say that I can't wait for my next class to kick my butt.

Also on a good note, I took the battery out of my scale and now that number will not be a focus anymore. It's been a long time coming but it's finally gone and I cannot be more happier that it's not a dent on this journey anymore.

If you haven't picked up Operation Beautiful by Caitlin Boyle you need to go to the store and get it. It's a wonderful book about inspiring women and showing that we are beautiful inside and out.

Check out both of her blogs for inspiration and motivation.

  1. Good for you. Hope you can still walk tomorrow. I find it's day 2 that the sore really starts.
